how are they selected? What are the criteria for been a delegate

it is through a delegate election called Congress...only members of those parties vote for people who have declared interest to contest for delegate positions..for example if there is a PDP delegate election in your locak government,at the end of the day,3 persons who had the highest vote will be chosen as delegates..in all,elected delegates are called adhoc delegates..there are statutory delegates..these are elected members of the political party who qualifies as automatic delegates but statutory delegates were not used because of the change in the new electoral act.
