Superintendent of Police Benjamin Hundeyin is the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin @BenHundeyin

We really need to join hands to stop jungle justice.

At 1810hrs today, people stripped naked a 53 year old woman (names withheld), started stoning her and were on the path of lynching her. This happened at Alasalatu, Mushin. The allegation was that she touched a baby and the baby disappeared. Police got there on time to rescue her. Lynch mob was dispersed with teargas.

Allegation has not been proven. No parent/guardian has come forward yet to complain of a missing baby in that locality today. She’s currently at the station. Her husband has been contacted. Investigation is ongoing.

Jungle justice is not the way to go. Say NO to jungle justice!!!

Question

Who saw the woman performing the disappearing act?!

Who is the mother of the child?!

How did the old woman come in contact with the child?!

Many more questions begging for answers!

If they lynch the woman and then found out that the child was not missing, How can they bring back the old woman and apologize to her?!

Stop taking laws into your hands...Even though no trust in the police, its their job to conduct investigation

When I say most Nigerians act like wild animals some Dumbos will insult themself... undecided
How can you Lynch/plan to lynch someone just like that for no sensible reason..and this was the same group of persons condemning that young Deborah's killing.. undecided

What then is the difference...? undecided
Illiteracy is still very high amongst Africans so more and more people do not understand how unjustifiable these actions can be..like are these people sick in the head or something? undecided

They don't even think no more..always violence and violence..the perpetrators should be caged like black monkeys that they are..what sort of animalistic behavior is this?what do they stand to gain if they'd murdered that lady in cold blood..

The average Nigerian is too traumatized which has heightened depression level thereby creating unnecessary hatred and aggression

The country needs to break up so that the regions can be better managed.

Government is too far from the people

The issue of child disappearance should be addressed immediately without any drama

Tensions are so high, many Nigerians are living like.....
