Thav TV NNPP has described the news making rounds that Kwankwaso will be Peter Obi’s running mate as misleading and embarrassing to our great party. NNPP’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr Agbo Major, released a statement which reads: “The attention of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has been drawn to a Daily Trust report titled, “NNPP-LP alliance: ‘Kwankwaso can deputise Obi’”, published on Sunday, June 19, 2022, and dismisses it as false and figment of the reporter’s imagination. Dr. Agbo further stated “NNPP has never at any time said its esteemed Presidential Candidate, His Excellency, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, could accept to be Labour Party, Peter Obi’s deputy. North is set to complete 8 years in 2023. For equity sake, Power should head down back south and that's why I think Peter Obi should be the Presidential candidate and Qanqanso his running mate.
