LegendHero:Then we should also accept people wearing native doctors attires. Sane thing is that everybody should dress according to his or her organisation dress code. If your school accept hijab so be it. |

muykem:Exactly what I think they should ruled. Those men are somehow old n doesn't know d consequences of their judgements. What of the schools that prevents some female students from wear sleeveless or some dresses they term immoral? or some that prevents male students from entering classes in shorts? Should these students take d school management to court, I hope they'll get favourable judgement. This also means that even Bobriskky can also dress d way he likes to every institution of his choice. |

The supreme court got this one wrong.. They don't want chaos in Nigeria right?.. imagine Celestial church members or cherubim members going to school with their uniforms.. or going barefoot to school.. afterall, that's their religion/ denomination identify... There's a reason why certain things were called uniform.. |

LegendHero:You are missing the point. The lawyer is teasing the court. Christian schools are for Christian, the moment you enrol in a school you have determined you would abide by the school’s statutes, so why do you want to wear hijab in a Christian school. No be wahala you dey fin so? ![]() Just imagine a student attending an islamic school with bible in hand and a bit cross with Lord Jesus on it around his neck, what do you think would happen? |

The Lagos State government had no reason to prevent hijab in government schools. It was a needless controversy. Public schools are for everyone. There should not be discrimination against female Muslims wearing the hijab in public schools especially if they have been wearing it before. Lagos State Government was wrong. Or they deliberately stirred up the hornet nest just to make a legal case for their other wannabe governments in the southwest and Kwara who are trying to IMPOSE hijab wearing in Christian legacy schools. The two situations are different and not the same. |

LegendHero:Then why the brouhaha since the niqab is not the one in question? Those that want the covering can have their hijab. But if a private school, I believe they have the right to uniformity in appearance and should not be prosecuted for that except the ruling is binding on them which won't be fair to them. Muric often complain how Muslim women were humiliated in passport offices, how can you capture the picture of someone covered from head to toe. A quarell will ensue if you asked they take off their veils. |

muykem:Thank you. We need sensible fellows like you, not people beclouded by religious sentiments. Imagine the child of a babalawo being dressed in traditional religious attires to school, with the bangles on the ankles, making noise at every step. |

Harddiskng:Well I agree with you that muslims should not use hijab in christian schools provided that school is still being operated by the missions and not public funded in its entirety. Muslims should respect that and not tresspass. But in other public schools like the ruling of the supreme court about the Lagos issue, the state government have no right to enforce a hijab ban on public schools. |

muykem:Let me ask you a question. If a student wear hijab in secondary school, as a Christian, can you mention one way that affects you negatively or threathen your existence? Please answer the question in good faith. |

LegendHero:Bros everything no be Grammer .... Naa common sense... discrimination go dey for many institutions... for example , A fanactic Christian or Muslim teacher go like to favour some one that practice same faith with him or her .. so say no to hijab in public institutions in other to avoid Manny untouched stories ... It will also be easy for Islam terrorists to have thier target... |

LegendHero:Baba discrimination go dey... I am a Muslim... I think about the future... We should not think about what suit us alone.... Compulsory of hijab in public institutions in Western Nigeria will only bring negative results... Discrimination go dey.... |

israelinvests:Make the discrimination dey if e wan dey. I don’t see anything wrong in children and teenagers wearing hijab to school. No matter what anyone says, I still don’t see anything wrong with it. Na Ibadan Grammar school I go, that school be Anglican school before the government took over patapata. I still remember back then say some of my classmates dey rock Hijab wella without anyone blinking an eye. So if they can allow it back then, why people get problem with am this time around? |

LegendHero:Try to understand our point. Wearing hijab is not a bad thing if the school permits it but order school to compulsorily accept it through law is an imposition of Islamic culture on the school, so other religion as well can dress in line with their religion culture. I don't hate Islam. |
