One of the three robbers, who snatched an Okada from an Okada man at gun point at Idi Ọsẹ, Ibadan met his waterloo.
This incident took place at 4:30pm local time on Saturday, 25th June, 2020. The three robbers had arrived the scene on a single bike and assaulted an Okada rider when he was trying to pick a passenger, threatening on lookers at the scene before making away with the bike to Ilorin-Ibadan away towards Ojoo axis. As the crowd shouted thief, he gesticulated with hand as a sign that he will liked to be followed thereby touting them.
He however ran out of luck, when a taxi man approaching quickly understood what was happening and decided to double cross him so he fell down. At this time, the crowd ran after him and the rest is story. The two other robbers escaped but the one in the picture below was unlucky.
The Okada ridder recovered his bike at the scene and went his way. The passenger came to the spot where the robber was burnt and appeared truamatised. This is not the first robbery case along this axis. Sometimes last year, an Okada ridder in the neighborhood was killed and his bike was stolen
