- According to the UK law: Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the purposes of exploitation. It's a form of modern slavery. The legal definition is "the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring, or receipt of persons, by means of: - Threats and force or other forms of coercion. - Abduction. - Fraud and deception. - Abuse of power or receiving of payments or benefits, to achieve control over another person for the purpose of exploitation. - In the eyes of the UK government, "the UK is a destination country; trafficked victims are brought to the UK from countries like Lithuania, Moldova, Thailand and Nigeria. " -Trafficking has three steps: action, means and exploitation. -Please help end this disgusting practice! |
