I blame the hopelessness of Nigerian league on the fact that 90% of the clubs are owned by state governments though. They mostly use this clubs for political campaigns and they will do anything to win. Even risk the security of people in home games.

Also, it's a chicken and egg situation.

The league needs investments to develop to foreign standard.
Investment won't come if people donot invest time and energy. And people donot want to invest time and energy in under developed league.

With proper investment and right leadership, all the problems you listed will easily be solved. But no one is ready to bell the cat.

I remember when OUK was sponsoring Enyimba that was the only time our league was highly recognized because enyimba was balling and have superstars, they won the caf champions league during that time and also have alot of international players

yes o. Like billions in dollars. But I don't know any cooperation(s) willing to be that committed long term. Most cooperations/investors just want already made stew where they can put bread.

As for the risk, it will be worth it if they league improved enough to acceptable standard. It will get more people interested in watching Nigerian league. Imagine half of the people currently following European league also religiously following their Nigerian clubs, investors will be smiling to banks ni.

And the likes of glo coming in to sponsor the league. The interest increased then. They even showed the final on nta then with plenty viewership.

Imagine if they maintained that tempo and other investors coming in. The league would have been ahread of atleast Egyptian and south African league by now.
