For a job done within three years. I laugh. Cost of governance is just too much. This is because the judiciary has seen how much the legislature and executive make.

This is for a country which is the poverty capital of the world

A country with over 80m of its citizens in acute poverty

A country owing trillions in debt

A country where the judiciary engage in selective justice

Even with all these there are people who will still shout Sai baba and tell you Jonathan time was worst and how APC is the best thing to happen to Nigeria.

I keep saying it Nigeria is not destined to be great.

I don't understand a situation where someone will elect to become a public servant, get well compensated, retire, collect gratuity, and continue living off the commonwealth.

No public servant should earn anything beyond their severance and pension.

All these extravagant perks of renewable cars, houses, medicals, vacation, domestic staff, furniture, and such nonsense is unjustified and constitutes theft of public funds.

Raxxye:
This country is just not balanced; so much injustice and unfairness!
How much do retired Professors get? How much do retired headmasters and principals get? Just peanuts!
Things people don't understand:

1. The annual basic pay of the CJ is less than 4 million per annum

2. Judges and justices cannot conduct any other business leaving them with only their government pay

3. You must understand that the Chief Justice of the Federation is a critical position that can make and unmake a nation. It is a position that is subject to so much temptation that it is necessary to protect the holder from the temptation to enrich themselves after office.

4. If the CJ lives for another 20 years, the value of this sum is 7 million per month.

5. At the current rate of inflation, if untouched, this money will lose 50% of its value by year 14.

Considering all these, is this too much?

It's like something is wrong with your head. Are you okay at all? What has Tinubu got to do with the topic? You must be sick. We're talking about the approved severance package of CJN and you just jumped into the issue with your nonsense hatred that cannot change anything.
