Happy sunday nairalanders. Few weeks back i was asked by my younger brother, 17, about how true it is that we are the same before God, despite the say that goes "All fingers are not created equal" in an attempt to explain away why people are richer or poorer than each other. Honestly i had no convincing answer for him.

Yes and No.

Yes, because, we are all creations.

No, because some creations excel above others and some are lower themselves among others.

It is clearly stated that God favours some people above others. The Bible is full of numerous examples

And they were honoured and favoured because they did well as well but as brought low and destroyed when they messed up.

Yet, are they the same as the rest of us and whatever has happened to them can and will happen to the rest.

Whoever He wills he blesses abundantly in this world and whoever He wills He restricts sustenance from regardless of whether s/he is a believer or not.

But the hereafter belongs to those who submits to Him.

We are the same BUT not the same.

As humans, we are the same before God.

However as per Grace, we are not the same.
Your Grace for Wealth and that of DJ Cuppy is not the same.
The Saved (Born Again) is different from the Unregenerated.
Your location/citizenship is not the same.

As Children of God, We are not even the same in our faithfulness and love for God.

Hence, we are different: very different!
