Good morning all,

This is the brief of what happened in Ondo town.

Following Intelligence Report gathered by the Police at Fagun Division, Ondo Town, that some children are being harboured at The Whole Bible Believers Church AKA ONDO CHURCH, Valentino area, Ondo Town.

Policemen were sent to the Church to invite the Pastor, the members of the church on sighting the police became violent and attacked them, the policemen called for reinforcement and this led to the arrest of the pastors and other members that assaulted the police.

Preliminary investigation revealed that one Pastor Josiah Peter Asumosa, the Assistant Pastor of the Church told members that Rapture will take place in April but later said it has been changed to September, 2022 and told young members to obey only their parents in the Lord and also discouraged the young ones from going to school as rapture was near .

A father whose child was among the rescued, said he was denied access to his child and anyone who tried gaining entrance into the church was always attacked by the members.

In all, Seventy seven (77) members ; Twenty Six (26) children, Eight (8 ) teenagers and Forty Three (43) adult members were rescued
from the Church.

The two (2) Pastors are currently in Police custody.

There are a lot of underground Nigerian "Jim Jones" cults manipulating the illiterate
and gullible with fake end of the world stories.

Most of the children found with these cultists were there with their brainwashed parents
consent.

The cult leader only got into trouble because he refused to release the child
of a parent who is no longer comfortable with the charade.

Hopefully, the three lunatic pastors will spend a very long time behind bars
while the kids will be taken away from their foolish parents.

A pastor will you that rapture will take place on a particular date, then he comes back to tell you that the date has been changed due to unforseen contigencies, the problem here is that we don't read our bibles instead we read our pastors and don't care bother to check whether what we are being fed with is sacrosanct with the scriptures, paul the great apostle tells us about the Berean jews in acts 17:11 he referred to them" as being more open-minded than their thessalonican brethen and received the word of God with all eagerness", now see what he says here " and the examined the word pf God daily to see whether the the things Paul preached were true" they didn't say because paul healed the sick, raised the dead, won thousands of soul, therefore whatever he tells us must be right, no they had to check the scriptures to verify whether what they wete hearing tally's with the scriptures lest they be led astray, so my fellow brethen let us endeavor to be like the Berean christian s and not blind followers being tossed to and fro like a leaf in the wind.

I hope that church is not among CAN. The CAN will be seen as hypocritical if they decide to keep mute over this matter. Their silence shows that they don't want to condemn the acts of the pastors involved and has left MURIC to do the needful.

Sincerely I keep saying it the kind of religion many people practice in Nigeria is different from the real one.
Many people has twisted the holy books for their own selfish gains and people are lazy or brain washed not to check by themselves what their religion leaders are telling them forgetting that these religion leaders are also human being like them.
