When BBC Hausa posted a picture of Peter Obi claiming Nigerian youths were supporting him, look at comments made by northerners. How many of them are supporting Obi? Obi won't have more than 400,000 votes in the core north. It wouldn't have been up to 100,000 but for Christian votes in Taraba, Kaduna and Igbos residing in Kano. He would come a distant third or fourth in the election.

Peter Obi will put up a decent showing in the SouthWest and North Central plus at least 25% in states like Kaduna, Gombe, Taraba, Plateau, Adamawa and Bauchi.
Add these to the bloc votes he will amass in the SE/SS...and he's home and dry for Aso Rock.

Even OBJ lost woesfully to Buhari in most of the NE/NW states yet he won the presidency with the aggregate national votes.

Just so you know, Tinubu would get at least 60% in the southwest while Obi, Atiku and others would share the remaining 40%. Aside Benue and Plateau, Obi isn't getting a reasonable amount of votes in any of the north central states. Obi won't get 5% in Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa and Kaduna.

God bless you. The typical mentality of northerners is that without them giving a cult backing to a candidate, that candidate wont win. How many times did they give that backing to Buhari yet he didnt win until the South especially the South West threw their weight behind him. Plus or minus, we understand they are important in any voting process, but they should understand that other regions are important as well. With Kwankwoso and Atiku spliting northern votes this time around, that fear factor is nt really their again. The intrigues and suspense that will colour this election, no factor - region, religion, party etc- can take credit on whoever wins.

Na lie. Peter ObiTUARY won't get up to 500 votes in the North. What made you think any Northern Christian will vote Peter Obi? When Igbo insult the North, they insult both Northern Christians and Northern Muslims.

In that same comments, there were a few of them who are able to rise above such primitive mindset and are supporting Peter Obi.

FYI, they also have similar opinion against Yekini Amoda and that should worry his supporters who are hoping on Northern Muslim votes. Obi mustn't necessarily win NW and NE to emerge president. It's obvious that these guys are overestimating themselves. Obasanjo and Jonathan didn't win those regions yet they emerged winners. The fact that there are 4 contestants, 3 Muslims & 1 Christian gives Obi the advantage.

Everything being equal, Obi will win SS and SE landslide. Win Abuja. Get up to half of NC votes and half of Lagos votes. While the other 3 Muslims share the rest. It would even be easier for Obi now there are 4 contestants instead of the usual 2.

Who then do you think will win?

Honestly, sentiment apart, I don't know where the confidence is coming from about Peter Obi.
Those ones commenting on BBC page are not even as fanatical as the ones offline. Obi stand no chance in the North and even in the West.
The more Peter Obi's supporters keep posting those blackmail/lies about Tinubu, the more unpopular Obi becomes in the Southwest
