Imagine if this was done by an Igbo. They would have begun to use it against Obi. |

Hmmmm...... all this money flowing in during the height of the pandemic?... and you're not a pharmaceutical company?... nor any way related to solutions for the pandemic?... this alone would raise suspicions. The money has been frozen.... would the players be charged? |

Well, Hundeyin is seeking relevance and wouldn’t mind bringing down a great company just to score some journalistic points. Some of the biggest banks in the world have their issues with varying degrees of corruption, but the erring individuals are dealt with decisively without collapsing the thriving corporation, which would affect too many lives. 9gerian:Let me tell you in case you didn't know. The corporation is fully aware of every misdeed. There is nothing like erring individual. The banks pay the fine and the guy fronting for the deal/insider trading/whatever other crime they commit becomes the fall guy. If things go well, the bank makes the billions of dollars and pays the criminal banker a commission. I know this because I have access to such information. David seeking attention isn't a new thing. Every human being on the face of the earth does something to attract attention in order to make money or advance their career or whatever. He has done no wrong in exposing the criminals. Flutterewave won't fall. They will simply pay the fines, like every other criminal banking institution, and continue to be criminal until they are caught again and they pay the fine. The cycle continues. Read this about credit Swiss: https://www.theguardian.com/news/2022/feb/21/tax-timeline-credit-suisse-scandals |

If someone uses a platform to perpetrate crime or fraud, is it best to pull down the company which provides employment and lays tax or go after the scammers who uses the platform to perpetrate crime? Unless in a case where by the company doesn't corporate with investigation |

stineb1:Racial undertone? It won't matter regardless if Flutterwave broke Kenyan laws. Nigerians love playing the victim. That's why any time a politician is accused of corruption we all start playing the tribal card instead of letting the authorities do their job. |

seankafor:But this is not about someone carrying out fraud. The issue is that the company didn't keep proper accounting, that is why the regulators are saying the money in their bank accounts and transfer is a proceeds from money laundering and fraud. If you look at the end of the article, a car was bought for the director of flutterwaves in Kenya but the company didn't state why it was bought,so the regulators flagged the buyer account and said it was money laundering It is obvious that there is a problem on how flutterwaves was structured in kenya |

stineb1:lol ,no be only racism na tribalism, you took time time to go through the article and come down to write this rubbish, someone is using a registered company to carry out illegal transactions, you called it racism? Does it make sense to you? |

blaquemyc:This what the said. ARA said there was no explanation or supporting documents provided to support the transactions and, therefore, believes the accounts were used as conduits for moving illicit cash. |
| Re: Kenya Freezes Sh6.2bn Linked To Flutterwave by Nobody: 11:26am On Jul 07, 2022 |
Advocate500:David didn't do anything. The accounts have been froozen before he wrote the article. Btw, flutterwaves obviously has an issue with reparations of funds, that is why all these transfers to different accounts, also it obvious that there was no explanation for the transfer of funds. The regulators will fine them. |
