Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, has said that the electorate in the North won’t vote for the candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, should the latter become the candidate of the proposed NNPP-LP alliance for the 2023 general elections.

Kwankwaso stated this while featuring on Sunday Politics, a current affairs programme on Channels Television.

According to the former Kano State Governor, the northerners will always vote for their northern candidate.

When asked if he was willing to be Obi’s running mate, Kwankwaso said, “What I am telling you is that if anybody from the South-East now, under this circumstance, becomes the presidential candidate of our party or any other party, the implications is that because of the activities and other issues that are really on the ground, northern voters will certainly go for their northern candidate and another party.

“So, the thinking is not whether I like it or I don’t, the fact remains that everybody will lose.

“He [Obi] will lose and I will lose.”

Speaking on the likelihood of the NNPP-LP alliance, Kwankwaso said, “Yes, I believe that it will happen, but we also believe that there are some challenges that we are having, especially from the side of the Labour Party itself, because there are so many influences – some on their side, negative and even the positive side. We have a situation today where there are some people who are in other parties, who are also influencing the decision of that party (LP). I believe it is not good for the party.”

Regarding the elections this year;
One of them is just a sick man who wants to add the "presidential name" to his portfolio- so he will divide Nigeria to his boys like he did to Lagos
Another stays in Dubai and comes after every four years to cause confusion. Not mentioning his series of womanising with actresses in the industry and dishing out huge sums. He wants to privatise major sectors instead of rehabilitating them. He will due and go and the young generation will suffer it

The other is a younger self made billionaire with proper strategies on how to take Nigeria to her feet. Always tells you things the aforementioned cannot boast off, no bullion vans or womanising history. A staunch Catholic with practices to live by. Philanthropical works that people don't want to talk about.

Dear Nigerians as we're about to make another life decision that will make or mar us in the next 8 years or more, let's remember to make the right one.
after 8 years of misrule, I think we deserve a break from bad governance, deceitful politicians that thinks they can buy their way to power and hold us ransom for the next 8 years.
like I always say, suffering knows no tribe or religion but these politicians have made tribalism and religious sentiments take away our sense of reasoning.
no politician is a real Christian or Muslim because they're thieves and criminals which both religion condemns.
but they use this act to hold us to ransom every election making us to make bad decisions based on tribalism and religion sentiments each election period.
for example, Buhari is a Northerner but his misrule has affected all region he rules and I think the north are even the biggest victims of his misrules and incompetency.
Another election is here and they have rolled out their usual tribalism card to enslave us yet again.
but this time around we must resist them.
we're majority and I believe we can resist their few paid miscreants.
most of these urchins are based abroad where things works but they keep forcing incompetence on us just for their selfish interests or ego.
