A friend of mine wants to buy a 2008 Kia Picanto, Manual transmission because it is cheap and the person selling it got a camry recently. I advised against it because of Lagos traffic but he simply wants a car. He said he needs it for weekend hangouts not to get to work. What do you think about a small manual car, is it advisable in 2022 and those in Lagos, what is your experience with manual on Lagos traffic?

It all depend on the user. There is nothing bad using a manual car in Lagos. I'm still enjoying my manual car in Lagos. Let him buy the car if it's affordable.

For weekend hang out, it's fine expecially if the cost is cheaper. It's a good car anyway. He must just ready to maintain kia. Yes, maintenance is key in those bands.
