The Russian Navy has taken delivery of what is the world's longest known submarine, one its maker touts as a research vessel -- but what others say is a platform for espionage and possibly nuclear weapons.

The Belgorod was turned over to the Russian Navy earlier this month in the port of Severodvinsk, according to the country's largest shipbuilder, Sevmash Shipyard.

A volcano on Japan’s major western island of Kyushu erupted this morning, with authorities issuing their highest level alert of 5 for the mountain.
There have been no immediate reports of damage and some areas have been advised to evacuate.
The volcano, which is called Sakurajima and is located on the southern tip of Kyushu near the city of Kagoshima, also erupted on Sunday night, the Japanese Meteorological Agency (JMA) said.
Volcanic stones rained down at a distance of 2.5 km (1.5 miles) from the volcano, a JMA official said.
Sakurajima is one of Japan’s most active volcanoes and eruptions of varying levels take place on a regular basis.

So instability in that region notably Syria gave Erdogan an excuse to make military incursion to syria.now heist making military incursion into Iraq(because Iraq is still vunerable).how Iraq responds to turkey military will determine a lot of things like
Are we going to have another crisis front right there beside Iran or things like it

Russia's Gazprom halts another gas turbine in Nord Stream 1 pipeline to Germany.

Natural gas flows to drop from July 27 to 33 million cubic meters or just 20% of the pipeline's total capacity.

EU states have agreed on an "emergency plan" to reduce natural gas consumption in the bloc, according to the Deutsche Presse-Agentur.
