I don't think his assent is necessary. Constitution amendment isn't like other Acts(Law) making.
Any alteration to the document will take about 8months to be rectified.
He can't be wiser(if at all he is wise) than majority of NASS and 2/3 of states house

They did well, Abia was the first State in Nigeria to pass theirs in June, then Ogun 2 weeks ago.

The national assembly has the veto power to checkmate the president. One man cannot oppose what the entire country has agreed upon.

The Constitution is silent on the veto of National Assembly to over-ride the President on Constitutional Amendment Bills.

If they can get the two-thirds then we can start from there but it has never happened in the history of the Country.

Just 4 state have pass the bills so far, or do you know of more state that have pass the bills?

I was following this constitutional review before, I stop following it after I find out there is no timeline.

I feel there should be a timeline for the state assemblies to work on the bills.
