How about developing gas reserves to pipeline networks close to local communities where the gas is found instead of export

You must build a lot of petrochemical plants, ammonia plants c02 plants and associated chemicals from natural gas

You must have power generation plants to provide electricity for communities of 200m people before exporting gas

Germany has no oil or gas but BASF is the biggest chemicals company in the world whose Q2 revenu is bigger than all
the Zoo called Nigeria exported last year in oil and gas

But baboons are in charge of the zoo

Haba, these northern elites won't back off till they milk the south dry.

It's high time for the southerners to wise up
Everything is not tribalism. What should concern you is how foreigners have been scheming to have access to Nigerian gas

I hope Boko Haram, Bandits, ISWAB or ISWAT no go scatter the pipeline for Nigeria-Niger section of the Gas pipeline, cos their mentality is against development, Peace&Progress.

They will share with South South, but not with other parasites like the North. That gas pipeline will be bombed to smithereens. They should not bother wasting their money.

.

The Gas from Oil flaring is Associated Gas separated from Oil&Water from both Onshore & Offshore Platform during Drilling&Production, but it can be useful if channelled to Gas Processing facilities which Nigeria is some how lacking.

As at now Nigeria is more richer in Gas than Oil, more than 1trillion cubic feet of Gas deposits untapped.

Good but ISWAP must be cleared first else they will just be diverting the oil and become more powerful from the proceeds.

My brother, this one now gas pipe line. They can't divert it. My only fear is that this terrorist group might just be incessantly obstructing the flow by blowing the gas line anytime they wish.

Nigeria my country! Southerners wise up. This MOU between these countries has made all the northern states in Nigeria oil producing states. PIB signed into law by Buhari stipulates that oil producing states include those states that have pipe lines pass across their state.

That is the point. ISWAP is an international terrorists group that is why FG is finding it harder to contain them unlike boko haram. They have branches all over Sahara desert countries.

o so the gas & oil is not useless again abi? grin

Even if they sell oil to generate more foreign currency ($) revenue, the wicked leaders will not review the wages upward, instead increase taxes, and cause inflation of prices of goods and services.

Despite our food crisis, the United States and Europe are using corn as a biofuel. You think the West will be kind enough to let Nigeria make money?

The food crisis is still going on, and if prices go up any more, it will be impossible to live.

Have salaries never been reviewed upwards in Nigeria?

The issue is that Nigerians refuse to be analytical.

If Nigeria made for instance 2billion Dollars even per month from Gas (which it wouldn'), how much does that translate to for every man, woman and child per month?

Trading the gas else where is not even the problems. We have abundant gas that can stand the test of time . In some niger delta area , less than 7fits drilled down, you will see signs of gas deposit. The biggest concern is how the profit, the money from this our natural resources is being syphoning away by this evils criminals we have as leaders. All they know is stealing without any idea. It will shock you to know that Nigeria is still flaring gas , waisting it away without any plans on how to put it into proper use. So so sad
