Please advice me on what to do. I am working as an inventory supervisor in retail supermarket earning 60k with free lunch,bonus quarterly and health insurance also my line manager is always on my neck everytime and I have 6days off in a month including Sundays.
I got an offer this week to start work next week Monday as warehouse manager with the salary package of 80k no other benefits i know of as at now, not really far to my house and only Sundays (4days) as my off. I don't really know what to do and I need advice from my family here. Please no abuse

80k bro,you need to grow more with experience and exposure besides the money is higher with proximity to your house.Don't let free lunch and comfort of ur old job with fear of new challenges tie u down in one place.

A health insurance plan can come in handy and be really helpful. You may not use it often if you are a person who hardly falls sick, but it is still a nice perk to have and to fall back on when the need arises.

I am not a fan of workplaces that don't provide some sort of compensation or benefits for its workers, like pension, HMO, CPD, Christmas rice/ oil (I know a lot of workers look forward to this one ) etcetera. HMO, free lunch and quarterly bonus which you want to throw away for 20k extra and zero benefits.

Please reason this matter well ooo. If I were you I will stay with my 60k, free lunch, health plan, quarterly bonus and worrisome line manager, job, until I find something better with pension, HMO, a great pay and more. Salary sums may not always be what we want but if a workplace provides other benefits consider the job.

Trust that the same way you were able to land the warehouse job, is the same way you can/will still land a good job. A 20k difference in pay is not a good enough reason to move, especially when the new job offers you nothing else.

Try to find out what your line manager expects of you and then work in line with those expectations. You just said he is always on your case without saying why. You may be a difficult employee who doesn't follow instructions or who doesn't take feedback well. Search your soul and make whatever changes are necessary on your part, for a better working relationship with him.

When I exited I had the option to use part of my severance pay to extend my health insurance at company rates. 2 years platinum at 750k or so. I took it. Last year it came in handy. I and the missus had surgeries. We literally used the insurance up.

You never know when you will need health insurance
