I think this is worrisome but it tells alot about what is wrong in this nation.

It's campaign season but I have noticed that the 2 political giants Atiku and Tinubu does things as they will without much complaints but whenever Obi does same, huge complaints comes from all angle..

I wonder is this cause he's an Igbo from the SE?? That ancient mentality that he's not right to be the president despite been the best if presented same in sane clime. THIS IS NOT RIGHT..

Let's start with some of these key observations
- Peter travels to Egypt ( In Africa) to learn about power for 4 days while Atiku lives in Dubai and Tinubu goes for medical in France yet Peter Obi is castigated and heavily pounded with heavy criticism.

- Both Atiku and Tinubu's supporters attack opponents both online and offline (Agbero blocking PVC registration) yet Obi is lambasted for his supporters actions online...

- Tinubu and Atiku plays religious politics , visiting mosques and having thousands of Imams praying openly for their success , Obi goes to Churches yet Obi is abused for bringing religious sentiment.

- Again Tinubu plans Mulism domination and Atiku plans Northern continuation yet Obi is termed IPOB president who wants to divide the country..

- Furthermore, Tinubu asks vote from other regions including SE , Atiku believe SE is his trophy yet Obi whose people in the SE have voted both Obasanjo a Yourba man and Yaradua an Hausa Fulani asks for vote in SW and the North , he is called inconsequential, 5percent and structureless...


- I can go on, Atiku and Tinubu plays money , power politics, use of long Convoys , fleets of private jets, hundreds of aides and security protocols, millions of elites on their sides but Obi who have demonstrated for many years that he chooses a humble simple life, who sees life as a place of service is called Stingy and not presidental.

- Atiku and Tinubu have their children and wives campaigning for them infact their sons are chairing their campaign and their wives very politically involved yet no one complains but Obi whose wife is not in the picture ( as he blocked the office of first lady during his reign in Anambra) whose only son and daughter are busy with their career ( the boy an actor and the girl a teacher) is called names , the poor boy is called IPOB with a fake picture of him standing on Nigeria flag.


Am tired of writing but this is really worrying, election should be based on issues, both keep attacking Obi yet he has refused to attack any of them..

Unfortunately for them his profile keeps rising, heard he is no longer Twitter president but CAN president, it's a huge progress for the unknown structureless guy with no support of any governor, minister or top legislator.

I think his actions bring up talks because people think he is a deceit. Btw tinubu have had same if not more but you only took sides with obi. Tinubu is the most insulted presidential candidate. Any post that has anything to do with tinubu is greeted with insults while obi is praised for virtually everything.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) says Anambra State Governor , Peter Obi, is threatening the unity of the country by playing politics with the recent “deportation” of some destitutes from Lagos to Onitsha.

“We are not saying Governor Obi has no right to play politics, but he must fight clean and avoid any action that could hurt, not just the enduring harmony between the Igbo and the Yoruba, but also the unity of the country,” National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Lai Mohammed, said in a statement.

According to the APC, Mr Obi has “over-dramatised” the issue to gain political points in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra.

“Resorting to primordial sentiments, anytime election is approaching, is Governor Obi’s modus operandi. He did it just before the 2009 election, when he labelled the ACN, under which Dr. Chris Ngige contested, as a Yoruba party, and he is going down the same path now. This is all about the November 2013 election.

“If Governor Obi is sure of his performance, he should allow that to speak for him and stop whipping up tribal sentiments. It is very dishonourable for a political leader, at the level of Obi, to show total disregard for the truth and to whip up emotions for personal gains, as he has done on this issue. By his deliberate and blatant distortion of facts, as we will show shortly, Obi has raised a serious doubt about his leadership qualities.”

APC says by his reaction, Mr Obi is being dishonest, adding that the governor and his aides disregarded several letters from the Lagos State Government to validate/identify the people before they were moved to Anambra.

“There was an exchange of correspondence dated April 9, 15 and 29 2013 between the Lagos State Government and Anambra State Government, through its Liaison Office in Lagos, about the ‘integration’ not ‘deportation’ of the 14 people.

“Anambra State Government did not respond to requests by Lagos State to come and validate/identify the people, who claimed to have come from Anambra. Had it done so, this issue could have been better managed.”

The statement says people should not read any ethnic meaning into the “deportation” as Lagos State has also received notice from the government of Akwa Ibom to identify and pick up two Lagos indigenes and the state responded without making it an ethnic issue.

“In December, 2011, the same Anambra State Government, that is now crying foul over the home return of Anambra indigenes, arrested and repatriated 29 beggars to their home states in Ebonyi, another Igbo State, and Akwa Ibom.

“Then, it was conveniently not ‘deportation’ but ‘repatriation’ and no tribal meanings were read to such action.”
