Former Lagos State Governor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's bid to become Nigeria's next president has received a major boost after one of the North Central's most powerful lawmakers, Elder Abejide Leke, declared support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate and standard flag bearer ahead of the 2023 elections.

Elder Leke, a member of the House of Representatives representing the good people of Yabga Federal Constituency in Kogi State, announced his decision to the press while inspecting facilities at the ACCO23' Campaign office.

According to the lawmaker who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Customs, Asiwaju remains the most competent candidate whom Nigerians should vote.

He stated that the former governor and Senator delivered as governor of Lagos State and has demonstrated his passion for human development through the many political giants he has raised across the country irrespective of where you come from and religious background.

He described Asiwaju as a detribalised Nigerian with an eagle eye, very focused and well positioned to deliver the gains of Democracy to Nigerians.

He stated that Tinubu as Governor of Lagos state performed excellently in Socio- Economic and Infrastructural Development which have made lagos state a model to other states in Nigeria and Africa at large.

While expressing his views on the man Asiwaju, he also recalled when Tinubu paid a very special visit to Isanlu which happens to be the headquarters of Hon Leke's Federal Constituency in Kogi state few years ago and that he is confident that if given the opportunity to lead the country as President, Asiwaju Tinubu will not forget the people of Yagba and Kogi state at large.

Elder Leke who is the Candidate of ADC for the House of Representatives in Yagba Federal Constituency earlier received thousands of decampees to his party, the African Democratic Congress, a fortnight ago (ADC).

With his decision to back Tinubu, he has urged all his supporters in Kogi State and across Nigeria to get their voter cards ready in order to vote for Tinubu in 2023.

The lawmaker also revealed that in the coming days, he would be launching and flagging off one of the biggest and robust Campaign support organisation for Bola Tinubu from across the country through a Grassroots network known as the Asiwaju Confluence Campaign Organization (ACCO23').


Hon Leke who is a product of one man, one vote, and Apostle of one man one vote, says the ACCO23' Campaign structure will mobilize grassroots Support for Tinubu and ensure he gets overwhelming support from the Grassroots Populace across the country.

It is illusional to ever imagine or think Peter Obi will defeat Tinubu in a presidential contest
