With her head and body covered, she was still allowed to participate at the tournament. And what happened, she was able to prove herself. Her scarf didn't stop her shinnings.

Come back home to Nigeria, you will hear people pulling excuses like school has dressing codes, making one believe that the covering of head and body is parallel to intelligence and brilliance. Hearing her name aline will give some people negative opinions about her
Bunchh of intolerant hypocrites!

Naturally they are supposed to be very good long distance and Marathon runners
So true. They have the physique. If religion is preventing the women from doing some sport why are their men missing too?

It will be good if they can also represent us in what rhey are good at like you rightly observed. It will increase our chances of medals.

Babatunde don't be an hypocrite.
When it comes to hijab wearing there is nothing bad in a Muslim lady wearing it. What reasonable people are saying when they say schools have dress codes is that. A Muslim that attends a Catholics school should be ready to abide by the rules. You don't attend a Christian school and get there to fight for right to wear hijab.
A Christian lady who attends a Muslim school should be ready to abide by the rules. Including wearing hijab too.

We should be sincere in our judgement of things.

Christians are tolerant people. They have always been. But going to their schools to go fight for hijab wearing is what they can't stand. And anyone who is not mentally sick knows they are right.

Stay blessed.

Fulanis will never allow their women to participate in sports.

They should take a cue from the likes of Morocco, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia. These are Muslim countries that empowered their women sport wise.

Yoruba Muslims know when to draw the line between culture and religion

U dey mind the zombies... even if na to train cows self... d idiots wont allow their women... Nonsense... but they like to be oga... of nothing!!

But Nigeria is really not productive relative to its population. Look at Australia with a population of approximately 25 million dominating the medal table with 52 medals. Even New Zealand with just 5 million population is third on the medal table. Even our african colleague country, South Africa, has 6 medals to its name on the table. But as usual, the giant of failure Nigeria, with a population of over 200 million, has just 3 medals to its name.

This country has to be restructured or completely disintegrated.
