Hey guys!

I got this wins 8 I have been using for a while. Recently, when I try to open some apps like Sublime and VS code, i get this app can't run on your PC error.

I have followed a lot of youtube tutorials, still problem persists. It is so bad that terminal commands also give the error warning.

How can I get around this problem? Has anyone ever encountered similar problem? Abeg o!


Also, the downloaded file becomes uninstallable. It literally shows 0 bit as the size after a while.


The only luck I am having is after installing and uninstalling some apps for a number of time, they stop showing the error.

Maybe virus issue....
Try formatting and get a good Win8

resinstall windows again. or disable windows defender and reinstall the programes back. but firstl uninstalll the sublime text and vc. then disable defender reinstall. if this does not work, then a new os calling you.

Check your OS, you might be using 32Bit, check dxdiag and see what it says after the windows, if so, you will need to install x64 bit Windows.

Ha virus I just saw it, show hidden files/folder seems something is hiding the main files, cuz I see 1kb and 0kb

Yes however did it affect all your applications or just this setups ? download Avira it's free to a degree and scan

It affected a few.
