One thing with Stats is that it always have a way of overblowing any small positives and even turn huge negatives to very very good positives.
Now let's break James Stats down.

100% dribble completed: Maybe it's Only one dribble he attempted and successfully completed but stats hid that fact and used 100% to sweeten it.

100% aerial duels won: Maybe it's just only 1 or 2 duels he contested while shying away from most part but again Stats hid the numbers and used 100% to cover it up again

17 crosses: This kind of stats is even funny more. Stats didn't even say how many was accurate, maybe all was useless sef. Well it doesn't matter as long as the volume is high right?

3 long passes: Same here as the 17 crosses. We didn't even know whether all the long passes was accurate sef.

Na the reason when people just reel out stats when defending/hyping a player, I just look away.
Stats mostly are to aid your eye-test(giving your eye test more validity and clarity) but it's unfortunate most people rely on stats to guage a player instead of actually watching the game

Disclaimer: I'm not in any way denigrating James nor his abilities but to highlight and explain how Stats can mask one's flaws effortlessly without presenting the true pictures of things.

Formation and tactics are not the problem but personnel. Jorg have to be replaced if we want to see the best of these tactics and formation. Midfield is the heart of every formation and tactics.
