If I understand the question clearly, there is another item you can hang at the top then put the bed ontop of it. This lifts the bed higher.

The truth is there are still some other items that came with the cot that we didn't border using as we have no idea of how to assembly them. May be you can figure that out on your own.

It was also accompanied by a baby carrier.
