I disagree with your first line. Pepper Dem was the most competitive and it had the most hype and most deserving finalists. Anyone in that top 5 could have won. Omashola was an early frontrunner and people liked Frodd later, then there was Mike. Even Seyi had hype. That was the year of trends and highlights. 90% of pepper Dem housemates had highlights. It had strong contenders. There was even SMS voting then. These present ones can't take their campaigns to the streets due to lack of SMS voting.
