2023: Peter Obi meets U.S. Consul-General, William Stevens, discusses new Nigeria

The Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi on Tuesday met with the Consul-General of the United States in Nigeria, William B. Stevens.

The former Anambra State governor disclosed this in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.

According to him, they had constructive discussions and exchanged ideas during the meeting.

Peter Obi said he shared his vision of a new, secure and united Nigeria which would be birthed by the actualization of his presidential ambition with the US Consul-General.

This man is proposing a new order, a paradigm shift from the old order that has plunged Nigeria into the abyss and prevented her from reaching her full potential.

Significant change alters power structures, shifts responsibilities, and disrupts the status quo, affecting those who benefit from the corrupted and flawed system. These individuals derive their true influence, power, and resources from the current skewed, inequitable, and corrupted system. As a result, they will do whatever it takes to maintain the status quo.

Therefore, as we work to save Nigeria, we should expect opposition from those who benefit from the country's current state of chaos. But we must neither tremble nor falter if a developed, egalitarian, and prosperous Nigeria is to be realized in our lifetime. It shouldn't be just a mirage.

We, the youths, have the opportunity to start a chain reaction that will make this happen, and Peter Obi is that opportunity.

Do you see the way Peter Obi met this distinguished man, discussed issues of national importance and got his favor concerning bilateral relations between both countries in the future? Plus, it’s also on tabloids with pictures so that the so called ‘fact checkers’ associations won’t need to spend their dwindling reserves in paying stooges to do their dirty business that’s the way president materials roll.

Not like some known others who go on foreign trips to places like Spain or so to meet unknown individuals and take pictures sitting in secluded, dimly lit restaurants discussing ‘who knows what’ and claiming they are making moves to secure the voters interests

Later their supporters will come here calling everybody ipob members just because they are trying to create and support a brighter future for themselves, their families and the communities they live in. Whenever you see such ‘posters’ please ask them these two questions below;

Is Tinubu’s candidacy as a presidential aspirant an oduduwa or opc agenda?

Is Atiku’s candidacy as a presidential aspirant a boko haram or herdsmen agenda?

So why the stereotype on Peter Obi? Is it because of their obvious desperation or are we justified to believe that they have no other possible way to sell their candidates to sane Nigerians?

Contrary to what the supporters of Peter Obi are trying to portray, his visit to the foreign embassies, as shown in the picture, does not suggest that he is relevant to those people. Trust me, if these people see Obi as a force that matters in Nigerian politics, they would be the ones visiting him in his house or office.

We earnestly pray Peter Obi wins. Nigeria looses 1.9 billion dollars a month to crude oil theft. We know the thieves, they’re just untouchable. When Obi wins, hand will touch them.

The money will be used well. Repair our refineries and stop transporting crude to Niger to refine.
