Please my 32inch LG smart tv most time doesn't come on, it can be this way for the whole day or if I am lucky by 12pm mid-day when I press the on button it comes on, and I can watch the tv for as long as I want, but once I off it and I go to sleep for the night, it want turn on the next day and the whole peocess repeats again.

It's called chip problem, it's a defective component in that area of the screen.

It's due to power component failure, that component needs a replacement.

So there was a power surge in my area. Voltage went high, led bulbs and chargers blew up, and sadly my TV wasn't plugged to the surge protector.

TV hasn't come up since then, and I can only imagine something has burnt inside. Please any idea what's bad in it? I want to know so the repairer won't run me street.


N. B : I definitely plan on taking it to a repairer, but I'm worried about these repairers. I still have a TV with one since October last year over a small issue (TV bavklight goes off and on at intervals) that he made worse and he's dared me to do my worse - all these after getting paid. I am barely home during the daytime so I haven't had time to go deal with him.

Any idea what could be causing the backlight going off and on at intervals too?

So sorry, about this experience.

We must understand that today's modern appliances and electronics are even much more sensitive than they've ever been. So, electronics plugged in are susceptible to damage. So, it's highly recommended that electronic devices are protected from power surges and spikes.


One of three situations
1. Power component is burnt or
2. Picture board is affected
3. Both are burnt (in a case where the power component and that of the picture are on same Panel.


It will require a good tech to inspect or diagnose it to tell which.

I have just saved up some money to get a 32 inches LED TV and can only afford 60k (Jumia has Weyon, Amani, Infinity, Sonix and UFC)

Please I will appreciate a guide on what to look out for when buying as I am currently using a tokunbo LG LCD TV but decided to sell it out once I get the LED TV simply because it doesn't have the USB port to enable me watch movies or play music when I don't feel like subscribing to GOTV.

Do a picture reset, and see.

1 Open Settings, and select Picture.
2 Select Expert Settings, and then select Reset Picture.
3 Select Yes to confirm.

It has really broken my heart cos I spent more than half a million on it , is there no way it can be fixed I'll try to snap a picture of it and attach it to the post any technician here that input would be appreciated.
