this modern time and age people living in trenches still borrow pot to cook. And when the owner needs the pot they borrow another pot to turn it into. The worst part is that they put food in other people refrigerator.

We are not even talking of smaller thing like knife, spoon and plate.

It's not about poverty. It's just that these set of people are not ready for change. You will see them drinking beer and spending money on other things like betting and woman. But the commonest things at home they lack.

I don't live there

As a boarding school student then I can tell you some people see it as being street savvy or smart. They have only toothbrush and no paste, bathing soap is 50/50, and very likely they wrote WAEC & JAMB in SS1 in miracle centers so they can use their school fees to flex until SS3 passing out.
