I think the rumours are true

Might be true. Yorubas are not known to be megalomanic the way Obj is. That trait is from somewhere else.

Obasanjo definitely have an Igbo gene. Though he never knew much about his lineage until around 1990s or so, from then he started aligning more with his distant brothers in the East to the anger of Yoruba elders and Royals who know about the secret.

It's only the man that knows for sure his true origin.. the Igbos might have pitched their tent with him back then because they know he is one of theirs. Yorubas in our usual docile nature won't bother to make any findings.

It's the same pattern they used with Chinedu in the last governorship election, thinking they will remove a full blooded Yoruba man to enthrone their own person (a stooge) in Lagos government house.
