In fact Ogun State supposed to have taken the measure immediately after Lagos pronounced the ban, but Alas, there is no visible present of
Government State government in Ogun State, more or less like Ogun State have ghost Governor.

Those people are moving in masses to Ogun State since they are not finding it easy in Lagos State.
your governor have seen the handwriting of loosing both presidential and governorship election in Lagos State next year. Fear fear people

Hopefully they create alternatives for these people to live on after taking their source of income.
Else residents will sleep with one eyes closed.
You can only imagine the level of insecurity that will arise out of joblessness.

They should give people the option of exchanging their bikes for cash instead of just stealing it from them.

See unemployment see crime. Security matters are to be taken seriously but I believe there should be a better way of regulating these people

Kindly tell your state governor to take them in.
They're no more needed in Lagos.

Doesn’t make sense, what will those people be doing?? Be kidnapping and robbing right??

So allowing continuation of crime and decimation of people through careless riding is what makes sense to you ?
Talk about the nuisance they constitute at road junctions and bus stops.
About time.

And right now they are not kidnapping and robbing?

So if you as a person do not have a job you would kidnap and rob?

Those who would kidnap and rob would do so. Evans did not start because they banned okada

Exactly and surprisingly Ogun State appears not to be doing anything about it.

No wonder there is an increase in crimes in Ogun State.

Only recently a Boko haram kingpin was arrested in Ogun State, interchange is a kidnappers den even in broad daylight they kidnap there. Night vigil is now a no no in Ogun State and government is silent.

The thing just weak me

That's how we all thought we won't cope at Ikeja and Lagos Island....where there is no bus into inner streets...but, there is a ban and somehow..everyone adjusted.

Na so.

You're right. The reality is that people would rather jump on bikes than wait for buses which we have now discovered are readily available on the Island. One can park around TBS and conveniently take a Keke/Minibus ride to Idumota, Balogun et al and come back without the stress of driving through heavy traffic and parking issues. Walking on the road is stress free. No okada riders.

Besides, walking is a good exercise. Many of those complaining know that they have to walk to bus stops and train stations abroad.

Typical Mkpurumiri analysis.
The idiots who rule hit your parents can't secure them and they run helter-skelter like stray rats.

Lagos is trying it's best to secure the state so economic refugees like you from the rotten region can have a safe place to run to.

Just open your dirty gums to vomit rubbish. Apparently, you are ignorant of the fact that even in Anambra, Kano and others, okada has been banned.

Necessity is said to be the mother of invention

About time, we need to be proactive and security conscious

We must not allow what is happening in the North East to get to Lagos

Neighbouring states should also take proactive measures especially Ogun State where incidence of kidnapping has been on the increase.

Lagos no be Katsina or Maiduguri

Neither Anambra nor Imo state

They should go back to Niger republic or chad. Most of these foreign okada riders are potential soldiers waiting to strike at we southerners at any given opportunity. Let them go back to thier country .

They can't ban Okada everywhere in Lagos. It won't simply work

When the ban is announced and you are caught, your bike will be seized and crushed. Just like it has been happening in the six local government areas already.
Okada as a form of commercial transport should be banned by every state government, its disadvantages are more than the advantages.

Oga, it's not possible. The Okada been ban is going to affect Yorubas most followed by Hausa before other tribes. And even at that they will find other ways to survive. Baning Okada was purely cox of the atrocities they commit

Fantastic!

Okada, generators and reckless use of chemicals- pesticides, herbicides, germicides etc are the root causes of disease of the kidney, liver and even cancers which are on the rise in our country.

The ban should go round the country in phases but as quickly as we can to save ourselves
