Lol you're like your president not aware. The gulf of guinea and Nigerian waters in particular were some of the most dangerous waters for kidnappings and cargo theft. Its been an issue for years. Here's a map from 2020 the economist published. After all these years sea piracy no longer profitable interesting.

This is very normal as kidnapping has become the new oil. Its simple logic.
The fools are trying very hard to justify the billions removed from the ECA which they allegedly squandered on buying boats.

Idiots!

Surprising.
There's nothing surprising here, most of the pirate attacking our waters are now big boys in town, and political godfathers, the likes of tompolo, ateke tom, asari etc they are now made, they are also the ones receiving contracts to protect the water way.

Secondly, those still in the water are working hand in hand with the navy. Instead of fighting each other, they compensate the navy and everyone go their separate ways.

So the attacks that have been happening since the early part of this year across the Oron,Ibeno and Bonny waterways to the point the local fishermen accused the Nigerian Navy of collecting money from them for protection against pirate attacks without commensurate security is what ?

Why can't they stop illegal bunkering and stealing of our crude oil? It shows there is security officials conspiracy.

Most of the would be pirates have also gone into politics and or bribe naval officers
