From this your link, this is what someone said (thebosstrevor1).

No. A low debt means no economic activity is going on.

All the states with economic activities have a high debt rate.

Read your graph well.

Yobe has a debt of 1.1 billion, more lower than Anambra state, does it means yobe saved more than Anambra...hell no, its because of lack of activity going on. That is the situation of Anambra state during peter obi's time

Do you have an answer to this?

You know Governance always looks easy to the opposition grin. I don't blame him sha, APC frustrated Jonathan thesame way in 2014.
Obi reminds me of Nana Akuffo Addo (present Ghanaian president). Both always have fancy things to say exciting the people and raising hopes grin.
When you look closely though, most of what Obi speaks about are kind of long term goals, but how would he solve the economic issues short term before we think long term? say first 6 months after assuming office? that's also crucial. Obi speaks of Vietnam and Bangladesh all the time, and their textile industry. While that is all good and fancy, they don't alleviate our economic problems short term. Short term, a serious president should be focused on consolidating on Buhari's projects to get them finished and then increasing our oil production to over 2 million bpd.
Factos, IMO. Buhari has laid the foundation for Nigeria's economyic prosperity.

He has been one very unlucky fella.

Resuming his tenure battling insurgency in the N.E, to unrelenting attacks by The ND avengers that plunged Nigeria's oil production to <1mb/d, to the 2016-2022 years of low oil prices, compounded by CONVID and lingering disruptions of oil production by vandals.

Barring any uncertainties, His admin would complete the AKK has pipeline which in my opinion is his most significant project, it would drive productivity and propel the economy it would greatly enhance socio-economic stability especially in the North.

The industrial sector would come alive again, piped gas would evolutionize Nigeria's economy which would largely be gas based.

He has been able to weather the storm, the political class were running helter skelter after the revenue crunch post '16, alot of States and FG prioritized agribusiness, they'll be riping the rewards in the coming years.

Palm oil production has impressively increased(Nigeria did not suffer from the ban of exports of cooking oil from Indonesia) which suggests a certain degree of self sufficiency

The well known rice revolution has paid off(self-suffiency attained)

There are ambitious programs for wheat, maize, and sorghum.

Nigeria would be energy sufficient by next year, and NNPC has successfully lobbied the International community notably the E.U to adopt gas as a green energy source(Nigeria has $63trn of proven gas reserves)

another boom is coming, let's hope our political leaders have lent their lessons, and bring the much desired transformation that we need in this country.

Buhari definitely has been unlucky. Yes he has made some mistakes too, but I like his model of what an economy should be built on. The man has spent more time trying to complete old abandoned projects and resolve administrative bottlenecks, both the ones by PDP and even the military as far back as the 1980's.
Talk about our Airforce and Navy as well, the reforms. Oh my God.
It's painful that majority of the youths only see Buhari for his weaknesses and part of that should be blamed on having a person like Lai Muhammed as information minister.

It's the thing with presidents(nobody likes them when they are in power). People would begin to see their lagacies or failures long after they've left office.

The Next C-in-C wouldn't have to spend too much on defense CAPEX, he'll have Buhari to thank for that.

The Security situation in N.E has stabilized too, that area would see a boom in agribusiness I think it's already even begun.

Lots of traders from Central Africa and S.Nigeria going there to get goods.

I wish the next president try on consolidate on Buhari's achievements, on the governance level he failed, so I'm hoping that improves going forward

Buhari messed up his own legacy by allowing the Fulani herdsmen to have free run of their nonsense up north and spreading it across the nation thereby hampering agricultural production, and institutionalizing terrorism. Apart from that he turned a blind eye to corruption in his regime. Look at the case of the accountant general for example. Then the mismanagement of forex. The list is endless.

True, you've made very good points.

Buhari messed up his own legacy by allowing the Fulani herdsmen to have free run of their nonsense up north and spreading it across the nation thereby hampering agricultural production, and institutionalizing terrorism.
Security and the politics surrounding it is first of all local. These are things local Governments or councils up North should have nipped in the bud before they grew and spread.

Apart from that he turned a blind eye to corruption in his regime. Look at the case of the accountant general for example.
Yeah my guy fvcked up eventually on the so called fight against corruption. He started well but lost momentum along the middle. Dunno what went wrong.

Then the mismanagement of forex
This is one area the Buhari administration should have really done better in, but let it also be known that from mid 2014 the forex was bound to go down. Infact Yaradua and Jonathan depleted our reserves from what used to hover around 63 Billion dollars to about 29 Billion dollars as at the time Jonathan was leaving. Our reserves were used to sustain the currency as well. When Buhari came, the reserves were already too low and currency was already on a free fall. But Kama caught up with Buhari and APC because they also used the freefall of the currency to campaign against Jonathan then as well grin.

You forgot to add he has zero idea on how to run an economy. Him and his economic cohort are indeed daft. As for strategic economic infrastructure,I give him that. That is the only place his administration performed better.

My bro, PDP started many things and campaigned with many things which they abandoned. Better to finish as many existing projects as possible than have a huge backlog which we always had. However Lagos-Ibadan railway was started and completed by this Government. Buhari also have started some things too and left halfway so far but in my opinion PDP was worse in this regard.

Where I am disappointed however, is that Buhari's Government couldn't create many modular refineries with the private sector. At least Diesel should be specially made available through modular refineries for the Aviation sector.

The infrastructure this government put on ground is not commensurate with the debt profile which stands at #41trkillion already. Not to talk of bandits attacks on the sgr. Last week diesel cost reduced the rate of operation of the Lagos Ibadan line. Look, Buhari is a massive failure. I can't point to one thing he did well. He supported agriculture only to allow Fulani herdsmen run riot against farmers. He is stupid.

I agree with the part of Fulani herdsmen's, but let stop with the illusion of a president fighting corruption infact anyone campaigning with it shouldn't be taken serious because you can't fight corruption, even in countries where they claim to be corruption free are very corrupt, but the difference is they run a model of corruption that works and that is what we need in Nigeria not the illusion of fighting corruption.
