Manchester United is delighted to announce that the club has reached agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Casemiro.

The transfer is subject to the agreement of personal terms, UK visa requirements and a medical.
Casemiro has played over 500 professional games, including 63 at international level for his native Brazil. He has won 17 major honours in his illustrious career including five Champions League titles and the Copa America.

We all look forward to welcoming Casemiro to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the £59.5million (€70m) signing of midfielder Casemiro.

The 30-year-old Brazil international is in discussions over personal terms which are close to being finalised ahead of his proposed move to Old Trafford.

Casemiro is expected to arrive in the UK in the next 24 to 48 hours to undergo a medical and officially sign a four-year contract with United, which has the option of a further year.

The news read: Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Casemiro is set to leave Real Madrid in favour of a "new challenge" - with Manchester United set to agree a deal for the Brazilian.

"I talked to (Casemiro) this morning," Ancelotti said. "He wants to try a new challenge, a new opportunity. I and the club understand it.

"With what he's done at this club and the person he is, we have to respect it. There are talks right now, nothing is official, but he wants to leave.

"We wish him all the best in his next challenge."

Here is my view on the deal:
Here we go: Casimero? This is crazy �. He is 30y old footballer. Won loads of trophy after being doubted by his employer earlier in his career. A monster � in the middle of the park. A fire fighter � mentality and combative tackler. Suited to premier league but still thirty years old and joining a dreadful side with a chicken mentality on the promise of a better pay. Success is not guaranteed but it is a better decision compared to Varane who was on the wane and prone to injuries. Still crazy � from my club. Nevertheless it shows ambition which is good right?

He is coming to play Europa league. So I laugh sometimes when I hear people argue that only champions league attract players to clubs.

The truth is, most players move when it suits their economic, sporting, personal reality at the time.Besides, there are certain level of teams that will still always attract players..

Real Madrid are happy to balance the books.
Truth be told:
Real Madrid really did enjoy the best productive years of Casemiro's career.

Can we be very certain it's not few months leftover juice peels that Wheelbarrow Fc have gifted £60m to Madrid?

Time is a good arbiter.

I have my doubts too but something inside of me keeps whispering that this will be different even though it is like similar deals in the past; Sanchez, Matic and recently Varane comes to mind.

Let's hope this one will be different.

Exactly....that is what I meant by saying "present sporting reality"...he has won lots of UCL and other trophies already....at his age now, more money might be more important to him and also the fact he will be a mainstay in the MAn U first team

Money being a motivating alone can go very wrong. He has to be ready to do it all over again in a new environment which can also be damning and challenge. I just hope he is up for it. He also needs to watch his weight though. Overall, a better signing than Varane a year ago.
