I read some western articles some months ago where they stated that NATO had simulated a war with Russia and every simulation they did pointed to the fact that NATO was going to lose woefully. If that's true and anything to go by, then it explains why the 30+ NATO countries are hesitant to get involved in Ukraine.

Yeah, they did the simulation several times and NATO lost. Only the US, Turkey and France have the military to combat Russia.
