The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has said that the Buhari administration has justified all its debts by constructing various infrastructures across the nation. Fashola stated this at the closing ceremony of the 28th National Council of Works meeting held in Kano on Thursday.

[i]He said the ongoing projects across the country had justified the debts, especially when compared with what the previous administrations had done.

“Our first budget in 2016 was over N250bn, up from the N18 billion we met in 2015. That was an increase of over a thousand percent, even though the price of crude oil was dropping, we did not raise taxes.”

The Minister explained that the Federal Government had been able to deliver more than 1,800 kilometers of roads across the six geo-political zones so far, stressing that the Buhari-led Administration was determined to complete all the ongoing projects before the expiration of its tenure in May next year.

In his remarks, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State said there was a need for synergy between the federal highways and states to achieve the set objectives. He commended the Buhari administration for initiating various projects in his state.

The five-day council meeting which started on Monday with the theme: “Infrastructure, the season of completion”, brought together various stakeholders from all states of the federation.

Very justifiable afterall the gandollar was there to make it even more justifiable....u borrowed money and still inflate contracts in other to collect kick backs as gandollars did ..I mean on top of borrowed money ,government will pay back with interests ..i don't know who curse Africa with visionless leaders...u want people to pay taxes like the sane countries whose government had done everything for them to earn money and pay taxes..if we had electricity ,good roads, well equipped hospital, sound education infrastructures and strong institution of government that discourage looting of public funds, we will all earn more and pay more taxes for government to sustain the good life the populace are enjoying, do u know how much u spend monthly just to run your generator on daily basis because of the elliptic power we have in this country..do u know how much we spent on our cars due to bad roads, our kids can't go to public school because our education is in shambles, we had to pay heavily for our kids to get a quality education in private schools...this is what our country has become since the beginning of this democratic dispersion of pdp and Apc and this criminal parties have presidential candidates (with supporters) that want to win elections next year..we are too dull in this country ..democracy is not ideal for a black man
