If you have heard the ASUU president speak, you will agree that he always sounds angry, embittered and not willing to embrace peace.

ASUU and their cohorts should meet FG halfway. This strike is becoming needless. There is no way the FG will address all their grievances.
He's not as mean as Buhari. I will support FG if elected officers aren't earning bogus salary.
That's what driving ASUU crazy and giving them reason to prolong the strike. Meaning you guys are earning fat despite that Nigeria's broke but you are preventing us from earning. What rubbish!

I understand. But the FG is not ready to make a lot of concessions. At least, for the sake of the students, ASUU should take a more compassionate stance. My younger brother was just about a semester from graduating before the strike happened. Pesin wey suppose don graduate by now still dey school.

The issue itself goes beyond ASUU. The entire educational sector is comatose. The ASUU strike while well intended, cannot fix it in one go. It is well.

Well, they have not been in the classroom for over 6 months too. Will you pay your staff if he refuses to come to work for 6 months?

... ASUU should continue their Gragra and let FG continue their Gragra. The Student and Parent should also keep supporting ASUU since ASUU is fighting for them.

Very soon everybody eye go clear. Atleast ASUU dey Enjoy part time Job from Private Universities and so they are getting paid and some of them dey use this opportunity to continue their Researches.

Since FG didn't respond to them before the Primaries, ASUU should wait till After Election Next year before the Negotiations can Continue, by then some of their Colleague will have die and some of their Student will have become Parent while some Parent will have Die of HBP due to the Worrying of when will my child Graduate considering that Retirement is Near.

Congratulations to ASUU.

It is because of inordinate appetite for money individuals like this at the leadership of ASUU that has made the strike to continue this far. He doesn't want to understand anything else but just the money.
For putting some universities into disrepute, government must act fast by banning ASUU immidiately

It hurts to feel sabotage by those you're fighting for, so the utterrance by the ASUU chairman is from someone that feels pained.

The aforementioned universities feel pained for been called quack but yearly the FG continually abuses them indirectly by failing to honour their demands, instead of demanding an apology from the ASUU chairman, they should be demanding an apology from the FG.

Beyond this ego-war the way forward is for a restructuring of the University system, each university should be responsible for the management and control of their funds. Let them use the money they make to develop themselves and stop depending on the FG.

If the uni doesn't restructure then I fear strike will continue to happen.
