This is more likely fumes from a generator, not some poisons or act of wickedness.
Why it wasn't a poison? Some of them wouldn't have been found unconscious. Some of them would have shouted for help or cry out. Some would have staggered around in the house and outside.
But they were all found unconscious in the morning because they went to bed with generator running and the fumes (CO) found its way into the room. Even if they were not sleeping, carbon mono oxide (carbon II oxide) would have still done its job without you knowing until it is too late for you. It is colourless, odourless and tasteless.
You guys need some education and do away with this primitive mentality.
They don't have to mention generator or its fumes before you guys suspect it based on the little education that you have.

That's why one needs to do an "Attendance is strictly on invitation" type of wedding, to reduce cost and the incidence of stories that touch the heart.

Definitely, that wasn't food poison. Food poison doesn't kill without you struggling and calling for help most especially if you didn't poison yourself
