Seeing that he is not standing for election next year, Buhari has been the most unperturbed GCFR ever in resolving such a prolonged ASUU strike. Owing to the fact that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the one standing for election as Presidential candiate of the APC in the 2023 General elections, shouldn't he help Buhari end the strike considering it would help his cause in the next campaign? If Tinubu cannot help to end this strike how sure are we that he will be able to navigate the murky waters of the never ending ASUU strikes should he emerge winner. If this strike is left resolved for another 2months, it will kill 80% the chances of Tinubu and APC getting any votes in next years elections both Presidential, Governorship, National and States Assemblies election. |

Nobody can help the government except the government itself. How can you create two different committees to look into ASSU demands and when the reports are brought to you, you just throw it away. What I see now with this ASSU strike is the government doesn't want to look weak by paying them there 6 months salaries after they said they wouldn't pay them and ASSU themselves don't want to look weak and back down. |
