Igbo Communities in Benue state:
The Igbos in Benue State particularly those in Ado, Oju, Obi and Okpoku LGAs of the state were in existence before the advent of Christian religion in Nigeria.
The Igbos in Benue can be found in Umuezeokoha, Umuezeoka, Oriuzor, Umuoghara, Amaekka and Amaezekwe all in Ezza communities, Izzi, Ezzamgbo and Effiu. The people of Umuezeokoha has many villages. If you are to calculate the number of Igbo-speaking villages in Benue State, outside Umuezeokaoha, you would be talking altogether about over 600 villages. Three of the biggest markets in Benue are all in the Igbo-speaking part. The markets are Inikiri Ichari, Iddah, Iduokpe. There are also some Igbo speaking Idoma towns in Benue State.

The only ethnic group in Nigeria that is giving the Fulani oligarchy a run for their money grin, if not for this ethnic group Nigeria would have become a foot stool of the horse d*ck marauding supporters of APC from north Africa.

Actually it’s the Yorubas. They are very smart in dealing with them.

For educational purpose only: most of this communities you mentioned has been carved out to create EBONYI state, though just like most boundary communities in Nigeria, the Nigeria boundary commission in some cases like that of Ezza splitted some of the communities into Ebonyi and benue, such scenario can be found between cross River and Ebonyi too and Ebonyi and Enugu.

Nigerian six geo-political zones are a wicked creation to whittle down Igbos influence and population. Nigeria has succeeded in creating disaffection and acrimony between the southeast and other Igbo communities outside southeast.

Go to Rivers State, Delta State, Akwa-Ibom state, Cross River State, Kogi state, Benue State, etc. It's just pure wickedness to decimate Igbo population, political and numerical strength.

The same thing could be said of Yoruba nation. Kwara state is almost 80% Yoruba, you'll also see indigenous Yoruba in kogi state as well.

But the most unfortunate thing is that the elites from these regions are so COOL with the contraption because they benefit from it.

In conclusion, we should re-negotiate our corporate existence and re-draw our national map for the betterment of every one.

Over 300 Igbo villages carved into Benue in Obi, Okpoku and Oju LGA's just to make up the population of Benue

Ezza-Igbos who should have been in Ebonyi were carved into Benue State with their fellow Ezza's

Were those Benue state Igbos in Northern region before creation of states or were they carved into Benue state from East Central/Anambra state?

The fraud grouping has existed before independence, the Northern Nigerian region's large size was intentionally created by the British to ensure the core northerners would control the government through the parliament. Yoruba parts were added to the North and Igbo parts were added to the South South to reduce their influence.

The modern geo political zoning was created by a Northerner Abacha to ensure Northern dominance.

The North Central is also a sham, they're Northerners during elections but Middle belt when they're over.
