Omoo! Your dad ain’t alone in this. There are many teachers like him who ended up with nothing after 35 years in service.

I did a research recently and listening to the tales of those teachers was really pathetic. Some of them are being owed 3 years salary. No pension or gratuity and many have died in the course of fighting for their benefits.

Same here. Both of my parents were teachers. My Dad went to be with The Lord since 2019, we've not been able to receive his gratuity.
