I can relate. It also happened to me. There's something about facing your mortality that will do that to you.

But the rest of the burial ceremony leading up to and after that was largely celebration. This is why in most African settings they properly plan the burial of an elderly because I honestly see it more as a celebration of their life.

Being solemn and somber at that point makes no sense to me
