A fourteen-year-old girl, Maryam Salisu, has been found dead in an outskirt of Babale community of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The relatives of the deceased told our correspondent that Maryam’s body was found in the trench with her eyes, breasts, throat and tongue removed.

The mother of the deceased, Fatima Danliti, couldn’t hold back tears as narrated her last encounter with her daughter, adding that she had left everything to Allah.

She said, “It is painful but there is nothing I can do. It is left for the person that committed the crime and Allah.”

This terrible news i hear breaks my heart, of this poor young girl tender and smart. I fear the devil on our soil now threads, filling our land with such horrifying deeds and dread.

But silently within me i hope, that prayers of saints, pastors and pope. Will reach beyond the clouds to that heavenly throne, and bring back to earth enough power the devil dethrone.
