Dont underestimate lockdown season. It has the highest engagement ever on BBN Nairaland with 11thousand pages. Pepperdem engagement for all it's interesting tag was far behind at 8 thousand pages.

Lockdown took the national interest in BBN to an all time high and the most remarkable thing was that the interest level did not wane even into the final weeks. During lockdown, you leave this thread for 3 hours and when you come back there are already a hundred pages for you catch up.

Lockdown had strong smart confident personalities that sustained its interest. Laycon, Kidd, Ozo, Erica, Prince, Nengi, Neo, Dora, Trickytee. The competitiveness was outstanding. I'd say the lockdown set were the best in terms of quality of task performance. I remember Neo's flawless rendition of of the Suits series or Kidd's impressive acting of Power series, or Vee's hosting presentation or Ozo's sports broadcasting. Today, these guys are still shining based on thei talent

It was competitive in-house. It was outside the house that there was bandwagon, and a worthy one I must say. It had more HOH spread among the HMs than other seasons which demonstrates the in-house competitiveness.

In terms of tasks,the execution level of their tasks was almost at a professional level consistently. It did not have the amateurish feel of most task wins in the last two seasons for example.

Let me share my experience and how I ended up in Clinix Diagnostic center for test.

A friend traveled a day earlier for Hajj. He did 72 test prior to travel. Officer checking told them that it has to be 24 hours, hence the 72 test is invalidated. The chap collected ₦20,000 on the spot right there to issue another report.

They have this office at MMI 1 where they do this stuff

In order not to be sorry or face hassle, I did and presented same before boarding

The comments during lockdown did not suggest it was meh at all. Maybe Erica's fans after her disqualification started selling that narrative to lessen the pain. Yes a lot of people started watching lockdown due to being at home but the performance of the season itself sustained such interest impressively.

If you watch the trend, the engagement level increased from See gobe to lockdown as each successive season outdid the previous. It was the deadness of SYE season that broke the trend and the comments during the season itself reflected that it was massive letdown and the general interest just plummeted.

Level up is bearing the brunt for the deadness of SYE season. If it came up immediately after lockdown, its engagement level will be way higher than SYE's.
