Chinese scientists have developed a very small radar for detecting stealth targets, which can be easily installed almost anywhere, including on the roof.

Typically, such radars require a large antenna to receive weak signals from low-observable aircraft. Although radar detection accuracy can be improved by increasing the antenna aperture, this reduces the mobility and survivability of the radar platform. According to the researchers, the new device showed the best performance in terms of detection accuracy and range in a series of tests conducted on the roof of a university campus building.
