This was done just for a day, 2005 in Vancouver. it also wasn't $3M, it was $500 placed on top of fake dollar bills. also there was a rule to breaking it, you're only allowed to use your legs to try to break it and security operatives were on ground to make sure there was no foul attempt. At the end of the day the glass didn't break but the frame used to hold it in place did. Although the company behind it promised to give anyone who could break it $3M cheque
