What is hypocrisy here? Government should do the right things.

First the Lagos government know by closing the market the revenue from that market will stop they understand this yet they want change for that market when next the market is reopen you will see how neat and good it will be not like before it’s our collective responsibility to move the nation forward

Because you want to sound unbiased you end up surpporting evil. Are the Igbo dominated markets the dirtiest markets in Lagos? What of markets dominated by Yorubas and Hausas? Be wise and sincere for once.

And you honestly think you're wise ? Does Lagos look like Onitsha or Aba to you ? If you guys continue to sound senselessly this way, those "Igbo dominated markets" or whatever nonsense will be permanently shut down ! Have you ever seen a landlord that allows any tenant to dictate to him how to run his own house before ? If you guys can't cope with our laws and policies here, take your business to your region na ! No be by force to live in Lagos o,we won't even miss you guys ! Mtchew, arrant nonsense !

These is exactly why the igbos will never smell the presidency, just few month they've infected Labour party with there "Victim card".
That was how they wrongly labeled INEC as been partisan in ladipo market, saying it is only yoruba inec is registering, after investigation it turned out false
According to facts, ladipo & oyingbo market had being served abatemen warnings buh they failed to comply,
In these same year, lagos state decided to shut down oko oba sawmill belonging to yorubas and relocate the millers, igbos will never see that one, as far as igbos are concern they are the only ones paying taxes, levies and being sanctioned by lagos govt, yorubas & hausas don't don't pay taxes or bills naa free life we dey wink

In 2016 where were igbos when LASG shutdown mile12 over agiliti crisis.

If igbos in there delusion feel lagos govt is against them, then don't give the govt any leverage to use. adhere to the law then lets see LASG cross the line

Labour Party should stop playing to the gallery.

Who doesn't know that traders don't like rules?

In fact, they are also very dirty and stubborn. That's why most Nigerian marketplaces are dirty.

If shutting down the market will make them have sense, so be it.

drivers don't obey the rules..

This Labor party leaders keep getting more insane by the day.

We have several case of closure of Ladipo market for their dirtiness at different time in the past decades and yet the LP think it is out of the ordinary for doing this?

At this rate, even when someone commit murder in Lagos, these foolish guys will still blame the government for prosecuting them.

Lagos should just ignore their noise and proceed with making sure the state is sanitized from these dirty pigs.

Why should a certain group of people always blackmail government of another state everytime when it’s not only them that reside in the state?

Below is last year closure.

Even if it is millions, go and pay it in anambra, you're not needed here.
You wount return to iragbiji or the hell hole you and your puppies sprouted from. You now come to Lagos with your ghana must go bag to squat with some uncle, borrow data to be writing crap.
Dont worry, I will inform sanwo olu to mount toll gate for you lot. You will need visa to leave iragbiji.

Even sanwo olu is not as petty as some of you. The market is filty and if shutting it down is what it will take to bring sanity then kudos to him.
It is myopic to think gov shut down the market because of "lost tribe", hope you are aware Yorubas own lots of shops there. They provide the services eg mechanics, they dominate the automobile electrical and electronics too at that same ladipo market eg you want to scan and fix delicate systems. So it affects them.
Same applies to mushin local government, the revenue from ladipo huge.
So to say a tribe is being dealt with is untanable.

Oga Ade! FORGET that thing! Only a neophyte and novice in Nigerian political system wouldn't know the act is political.

We argued about this recently.

Once again this is very insensitive by the LASG. Why not shutdown the market for weekends then work on the waste disposal? Why shut it down in this bad economy where people need daily funds for survival?
APC and bad policies...

You are closing an important asset indefinitely? It means one day they will close the whole Lagos? Does it make any sense?
Can you close Aso Rock? Or lock Lagos airport?
Even if you have to, you can do it section by section

Update:
Why is Labour party issuing this statement? Is Labour party and igbo/regional party? Are there only igbo traders in those markets? Igbos exposed
why didn't him provide an alternative market before embarking on this political closing of market? Tinubu is playing with fire.

First, there's nothing like Igbo market in Lagos. Lagos State is a Yoruba land.

Secondly, even the big markets in Aba, Onitsha and Enugu are dirty.

I don't do that tribalism nonsense with you people. I say it the way it is. If you don't like it, I don't give a hoot.
tell me the market that is not dirty . is it mushin, agege or oshodi.or mile 12, how ever let d government do their job without biase. me i dont see anything wrong with d governments action if its to restore sanity and order. And that should not generate unneccesary ethnic colouration or jingoism cos d last time i checked the markets are even mixed of different cultures

Agreed Ladipo is dominated by igbos
But we have Yoruba traders there
But Oyingbo market is dominated by Yorubas and some part are igbos and Hausa
So don’t try and play the ethnic card you have to dump your waste properly and also pay the fees you can’t do this in other countries so obey the laws
