A drone doesn't need a runway to take off though. I believe the Iranian drone launcher can launch multiple drones at once. See pics below

shut up, is the drones not carrying an explosive material. go and find out how explosive material detonates. so far the 4 drones are flying closer to each other one impact will affect the other. the drones is likely a suicide drones.

It depends on the kind of drone. The Turkish bayraktar TB2 launches from a runway. Same with some of the Russian orlan drones. Copter drones and DJi commercial drones improvised and strapped with explosives do not need to launch from a runway. However, the contention is that they cannot be flying together in parallel lines at the same time cos of the risk of collision and signal interference.

Cos the Western media are more open or transparent compared to say North Korea or Russia or some other similar countries.

Also the Iranian drones can be remote controlled. Human factor is significant in such cases.

Also we do not know if 4 were flying in parallel, or whether 2 or 4 were flying parallel in a stacked formation, or even whether they were in groups of 2 at different locations.

We did not see the video just as we don't see the video of every combat in the ongoing war or military operation or whatever name we call it; hence, we can't tell what really happened. A "news" was reported. It's left for us to believe or not believe. Both sides Russia and Ukraine have not been 100% truthful with the news they report.
