I wander why the rest of the soldiers fled instead of taking cover and returning fire.

I don't really blame them for running though, because they were caught by surprise. The attackers were the ones dictating how the firefight goes. But the soldiers should have been trained for situations like this.

But why won't the army stay away from check points in the meantime till things begin to calm down. Any check point has a potential of being attacked and if you know u cannot withstand the attack? Why are you there in the first place No be death de hungry you. Imagine okada passing the road and cheering them on, that's a clear indication that the people have rejected the soldiers. So what are the soldiers still doing there?

The one that we read about in Anambra yesterday, the people capturing the attack stated that the had always known that one day that particular checking point will be attacked and it did. This simply means that virtually every check points is pinned for an attack. How much will you make in that check point that is better than your life

Our soldiers are not always kit for uncertain attacks, normally, any soldier at checkpoints should have about 6 extra ammunition magazines but you will hardly see 2 magazines with them, even the one attached to the gun might not have upto 10 rounds.

Like seriously the video footage is not meant for public disposal in the first place... the purpose of CCTV has been abused. It is meant to track criminals like ds pple. I bet you that whenever bandits like this wanna attack, their first target will be the cams inother to be untraceable. May God help us in this country. We really need serious sensitisation.
