Let’s take a moment to pause from discussing elections, BBNaija and soccer. This is a more pressing issue. I’ve noticed for over a year now the country has no mint hundred naira notes in circulation. Why is this?

My wallet right now is full of moldy, half torn pieces of the currency. Why is nobody asking questions?

Most of you are so oblivious to the monumental changes going on in the background that you fail to notice that Nigeea is the only country in the world to have floated a digital currency.

The eNaira is going to be the only legal tender soon.

For this to be the case, the naira must be systematically reduced to waste paper towards making the transition to a digital currency easier.

Its for this reason that lower notes below #500 are not being printed anymore by the CBN.

These are policies that the US Feds are mauling over and to which the EU is set to implement in their lame attempt to protect the Euro in the wake of an inevitable economic depression.

If their digital economic model can work in Africa, it can work anywhere.

Before there was a Euro currency, there was a CFA .

Well, from my observations, most new notes I come across is usually from seemingly high class citizens or well to do individuals. High class hotels ATM, I don't know if high net worth individual with private banking privileges could enjoy that. I guessing it wouldn't be so far-fetched.


Ooh yes, party sprayers will surely have a plug on how they get their notes, lols

I also forgot to mention that it was mostly 500s and 1000s. 200s were rare and 100s even more so.

I got a clean note yesterday. The note was minted in 2022. Did Nairaland bring to the forefront my complaint? HAHAHAHAHA, this forum can’t solve anything. Na to only type rubbish sleep on top belle when night reach.
