Price of Nigeria rice in the market is going up by the day. I don't think Nigeria is self sufficient enough for local production. The borders should be open for rice importation now before famine sets in.

Meaning the Total rice farms, viz subsistence rice farming/small small subsistence rice farms & other mechanised rice farms outlets scattered across the whole Nation (75%), have a Total combined capacity about three 3 Times the size of Olam Farms, or approximately about 30 000 hectares

Rice would be very expensive next year. Nigeria must be much more self sufficient in rice than ever.

Though rice may be expensive in Naija now, but Buhari's desire to see that we are self sufficient in rice by banning importation of rice temporarily is spot on for now.
